A wedding at the Shakespeare Hotel is a truly romantic and intimate occasion. Whether you choose a small private dinner or a full reception, help is at hand to plan, advise and support during the months of preparation.

The Juliet's Function Suite

Juliets can cater for up to 100 guests for your Wedding Breakfast and 130 people for the evening reception. For your comfort, Juliets is air conditioned and also offers the convenience of a private bar and a permanent dance floor. The french doors open out onto our Garden, which provides a pleasant area for your guests to enjoy a drink. Please note that due to the location of the hotel, these doors must be kept closed once the evening entertainment has begun.

Romeos Restaurant

The air conditioned restaurant can cater for up to 40 guests for your Wedding Breakfast. This is linked to the hotels lounge bar and onto the hotels terrace, where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink.

Ground Floor Hire

We offer a Ground Floor hire package which includes Juliet's with a bar, Romeo's Restaurant, Reception, Garden, disco and a bedroom for the Bride and Groom. Ground Floor hire can hold 160 evening guests, please note that Romeo's Bar will still be available for use to Hotel guests only.

Entertainment

At the Shakespeare Hotel we offer excellent in house DJ's playing a variety of music to suit all people. Please note that if you require your own DJ, all certificates must be produced for the hotel before this can be confirmed and a fee will be charged.

Civil Ceremony

The Shakespeare Hotel is licensed to offer a civil wedding ceremony service in the Romeo Suite for up to 70 people and in the Juliet Suite for up to 150 people.
